絹の渓谷 碧流／鬼怒川

会社の保養所として使われてきた宿泊施設を、一般にも利用できるようにし、収益率を上げることを目的として行われたリノベーション三部作である。 リノベーションの際には、床に直接布団を敷く和室は高齢者には実は使いにくいということで、ベッドや小上がりの寝室が求められた。 絹の渓谷　碧流は、川沿いに位置することから、川の流れをイメージするような和紙や、線状のモチーフを多用して、デザインに統一感を持たせた。空間デザインから、ロゴマーク、家具、アートの調達、制服に至るまでの総合的にデザインし、先人の設計を最大限に生かしながら丁寧にデザインを加えて行くことで、新しいホテルへと転換した。

This renovation trilogy was undertaken with the goal of increasing the profitability of the lodging facility, which had been used as a company recreation center, by making it available to the general public. During the renovation, beds and small bedrooms were required, as Japanese-style rooms with futons laid directly on the floor are actually difficult for the elderly to use. Since Hekiryu, Silk Valley is located along a river, we used a lot of Japanese paper and linear motifs that evoke the image of a flowing river to create a sense of unity in the design.
The hotel was transformed into a new hotel by designing comprehensively from space design, furniture, art procurement, and uniforms, and by carefully adding design elements while making the most of the predecessor's design.
